specializes in making 165 different fudge flavors, 20-25 are available at a time. Kathleen grew up in Michigan, which by the way, Mackinac Island, Michigan is the fudge capital of the world. This could have been a partial influence on her decision to open a gourmet fudge and candy shoppe. Kathleen started her career as a Tennis Director but was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at age 32 and needed to make a career change. She researched for 2 years, attending seminars, visiting chocolate factories, and visiting a cocao (pronounced ka-kow) plantation, where the chocolate bean is grown on cocao trees. Kathleen's mission statement "FUN" is shown throughout her store's atmosphere, if you would like to experience this for yourself take the virtual tour and then order some fudge for you and your friends. "Sugar-free chocolate and fudge are a priority in my shop. My mother was diabetic and as a child I remember her strict limitations. So I decided I would check into sugar-free candy and make sure I carried a good selection. I am quite pleased with the variety as I already have a great deal of diabetic clientele" 1328 Sycamore Square Shopping Village Midlothian, Virginia 23113 (804) 897-8299 Click to Locate our Shoppe kathleen@kathleensfudge.com |
